A major new wave of Grand Theft Auto VI information has arrived through Game Informer's September 29 cover story, featuring interviews with Rockstar Games developers and 12 new screenshots.
One of the biggest revelations concerns GTA VI's wildlife. Rockstar has confirmed that more than 170 animal species will inhabit Leonida across land, air and water.
The game is designed to recreate the diversity of Florida's wildlife, including native, exotic and invasive species.
Rockstar has also developed an advanced weather system for GTA VI. Weather conditions can include powerful tropical storms and hurricanes, while wind can dynamically affect elements of the environment, including the surface of the water.
The new information provides a deeper look at Rockstar's goal of making Leonida feel like a living ecosystem rather than simply a large open-world map.
Game Informer's GTA VI feature also includes 12 new screenshots showing previously unseen environments, characters and scenes from across Leonida.
With GTA VI scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Rockstar is revealing significantly more information as the game approaches release.
