How Can You Spot a Fake GTA 6 Cover?
Compare any cover you see against the "Official Cover Art" file on Rockstar's downloads page. If the image differs from that file, or you can't find it there, treat it as fan art.
A few quick checks:
- Platforms. Rockstar Support lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A box with a PC, PS4 or Xbox One banner does not match any version Rockstar has announced.
- Disc claims. Rockstar Support says "A disc will not be included in the box." A listing that shows a disc inside a GTA VI case is wrong.
- Prices on the art. Take-Two set US prices at $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate. A "cover" sticker with another US price did not come from Rockstar.
- The poster. Rockstar posted the real cover on X and on its own site. A cover that first appears on an unknown account deserves a second look.
